Throughout the years, SBL has displayed an extraordinary example of philanthropy by placing priority on strengthening local communities in a number of ways. As a firm, SBL is a strong believer in the strength of ideas and the power of relationships, and its employees volunteer for and make in-kind donations to programs such as CANSTRUCTION® to improve the lives of disadvantaged children and their families. Therefore, SBL’s ongoing “Civic Involvement” program, which is to strengthen the local community one person at a time, continued to support those in need through a dedicated and resourceful staff by joining forces with the Society of Design Administration (SDA) Fort Worth Chapter, The American Institute of Architects (AIA), and other members of the design and construction industry to participate in CANSTRUCTION® 2005. In addition to SBL’s volunteerism and financial contribution, the firm received additional support from other companies, including Fratto Engineering, Inc., The Robins and Morton Group, Architectural Security Group, Geiger International, Milliken Carpet, National Furniture with Personality and Tri^Kes Wallcovering Source, to assist in filling the shelves of the Tarrant Area Food Bank with 3,397 nonperishable food items.
