Arlington, TX. (March 27, 2020) – SBL Architecture is pleased to announce the promotion of new Senior Associates.  These individuals join SBL’s existing leadership. Each one has distinguished themselves as leaders, mentors, and innovators, who embody the firm’s values.  They also show real commitment to our community – both professional and civic.

Ken Myers, RA has established himself as a strong architect and leader within SBL.  Ken is frequently involved in numerous projects at various stages of development at any given time and is a key resource, not to mention mentor, to many regarding documentation and constructability.  He has an innate ability to move seamlessly through all phases with the precision required in construction documentation and administration.  He helps guide staff to elevate design excellence for all of its projects through a collaborative process that mentors and advances other staff member’s abilities.  Ken serves regionally as SBL’s volunteer leader and representative with the Business Council for the Arts.  Ken is highly regarded by his peers for his professionalism and integrity. His firm-wide mentorship is widely celebrated by SBL’s leadership, and this led to his promotion to Senior Associate.

David Anderson, AIA is a well-rounded architect with an inherent ability to translate a concept into built reality.  He works hard on all his projects to discover the sweet spot between design, functionality, and budget.  When asked if there was a project that contributed to his growth not only as a designer but also as a leader, he referenced the Texas Rangers Urban Youth Academy project.  Throughout the process of designing the Academy, David developed a close rapport with the client and community leaders by involving the public in the design process, which enhanced his ability to facilitate designs through the city approval and construction process.  For David, designing the Academy was a deeply rewarding project – personally and professionally.  He prides himself in working through all phases of design and construction with the owner and design team.  As a team leader, David inspires team members to think creatively and utilize technology to improve all facets of the design process.  David also serves the architectural community by contributing his talent and experience as an active member of the AIA Fort Worth Design Awards Committee.  These are the characteristics that make him an indispensable member of the SBL team, and we are proud to announce his promotion to Senior Associate.

Lindsay West, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP BD+C has played an integral role in a wide variety of highly successful projects, including the Texas Health Hospital HEB’s Continuing Care Patient Tower Expansion.  Lindsay is a tireless representative of SBL’s core values, both inside and outside the firm.  She is responsive and detailed in her work and is known for her abilities to listen, create and lead.  As the firm sets new standards in sustainable design, Lindsay has led the charge and done in-depth exploration on LEED, Energy Star, Green Globes and other sustainable initiatives as they relate to our healthcare projects.  These studies include creating detailed questions and checklists to assist our team, and our clients, in selecting the best products and designs to attain certain sustainable goals.  She has also contributed to the success of the firm’s business development efforts and has furthered those efforts by delivering on project promises that have led to great client satisfaction.  Lindsay is trusted by her clients as a confident leader and a champion for their values, and it is for this reason that SBL is proud to announce her promotion to Senior Associate.
