Sterling Barnett Little (SBL) is excited about its newest project with St. Joseph’s Healthcare System! On September 16, SBL celebrated with the St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center, Francis Cauffman, architect of record, and many community members at the grand opening ceremony for the new main lobby as part of its ongoing $250M facilities expansion project.

The lobby is the first completed building project in the hospital’s expansion located in Paterson, New Jersey. The lobby features a designated women’s and children’s lobby, a state-of-the-art 256-seat auditorium, and a 12 foot high bronze sculpture – a tribute to the Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth. Incorporated into the lobby and reception area is a ’20 foot diameter globe’ and ’30×30 foot acrylic media wall’ designed by eventscape. The globe is comprised of 860 individual 6 inch acrylic cubes each set at various depths with interior LED lights programmed with a variety of colors and patterns to mimic the globe, creating a continually changing environment with poles and all.
