About

The International Union of Architects held an international competition recently calling for designers to produce realistic design concepts that would use architecture to celebrate the city.

Sterling Barnett Little entered a concept for the revitalizing an under-used strip center in Arlington, TX.  The parking lot had out-lived its usefulness and was no longer operating at full capacity. The team proposed to increase the activity in the area by in-filling the parking lot with a park and some new housing and commercial developments.

Although the project was site specific, it was the contention of the team to show that the dozens of empty parking lots around built-out Arlington provide an opportunity for the community to continue to grow and develop.
