SBL Architecture Helps Fill Bowls and Hearts in Support of Tenet’s Healthy Over Hungry® Cereal Drive

Arlington, TX – June 5, 2025 – At SBL Architecture, we believe breakfast is more than just the most important meal of the day – it’s a chance to make a difference.

In May, our team jumped into action for a good cause, gathering cereal to support Tenet Healthcare’s Healthy Over Hungry® Cereal Drive, which officially kicked off this week and runs through next week. We had a cereal-sly good time collecting colorful boxes, bold brands, and family favorites, all destined for local children and families facing food insecurity.

Fun Fact: With 138 boxes of cereal (plus 50 individual-serving boxes) collected, we could build a cereal skyscraper taller than a giraffe – or serve up nearly 2,000 healthy breakfasts to children across North Texas. That’s one grrreat way to start the summer!

Our partnership with Tenet Healthcare goes way beyond breakfast. We’ve worked together since the very inception of SBL Architecture, collaborating on projects that span

Texas and the nation from El Paso to Nacogdoches, Houston to Brownsville-Harlingen, and across the country in Florida, South Carolina, Georgia, North Carolina, Massachusetts, Michigan, California, Arizona, and Alabama. Supporting this drive was a natural extension of a long-standing relationship rooted in shared values: care, commitment, and community.

Cereal is just the latest chapter in our ongoing mission to give back. Over the years, we’ve rallied our team around a variety of community support drives, including, but not limited to:

  • *  ACHE of North Texas School Supplies Drive – Helping students return to class ready for success.
  • *  JPS Health Network Sunscreen & Mosquito Repellent Drive – Supporting patients and the homeless population with essentials for a Texas summer.
  • *  Mission Arlington Easter Drive – Donating Easter eggs and candy to bring smiles to local families during the holiday season.
  • *  Healthy Lives Matter Hunger Action Month – Supporting former Commissioner Roy Charles Brooks and the Tarrant Area Food Bank to help stock shelves before the critical holiday season.

As architects and designers, we’re used to designing spaces that promote healing and hope. With this cereal drive, we got to do the same – just in a different (and delicious!) way.

Thank you to Tenet Healthcare for inviting us to help make breakfast a brighter beginning.

Let’s keep building strong foundations – one box of cereal at a time.
