[Arlington, TX – February 2025] – SBL Architecture is thrilled to announce the newest addition to our team, Ricardo Mendez! With over 25 years of experience in architectural design and construction, Ricardo brings a wealth of expertise in project management, consultant coordination, and BIM technology.  His career spans a diverse range of sectors, including hospitality, mixed-use, retail, and commercial projects, both across the U.S. and internationally.

Fun fact – Ricardo was the Founding Principal at R+M Studio in Cancun, Mexico, from 1990 to 2008, where he led a dynamic team on projects in upwards of 400,000 SF before bringing his talents to Texas.  A Registered Architect in Mexico, he’s currently navigating the reciprocity process to become registered in the State of Texas, expanding his reach even further.

Ricardo has already made an impact at SBL, diving right into the Carter BloodCare expansion project.  His seamless transition to healthcare work has exceeded all expectations, and we couldn’t be more excited about the expertise and energy he brings to the team.

We look forward to the continued contributions of Ricardo, as he helps us deliver exceptional, high-quality design solutions for our clients!
