About

Sterling Barnett Little, Inc.’s first engagement with Sid Peterson Memorial Hospital was for completion of a Master Plan, during which options for future expansion of the nearly 60 year old, multiple-building campus were assessed.  SBL was tasked with developing and comparing two scenarios, one involving expansion / renovation at the existing campus and the other involving a new replacement hospital on new property.  The analysis allowed Sid Peterson’s Board of Directors to determine that it would be best to replace the existing hospital with a new 146-Bed Acute Care / General Hospital.

After the completion of the Master Plan, SBL was engaged to produce Design Development documents for Phase 1 of the replacement plan.  The new hospital will have 125 beds, 19 stations in the Emergency Department, 6 operating rooms in Surgical Services, 16 stations in Imaging and 6 stations in Cardiology.  The project, when completed in 2007, will have 224,700 square feet and construction is expected to cost $52.5 Million.
